Based in East Machias and Belfast, Maine, Gin Majka is a photographer and short-form filmmaker specializing in analog and digital processes. Blending her passion for creativity and the environment, her work explores the innate connection between people and nature. Using portraiture, fine art, and experimental techniques, she creates distinctive images with an ethereal quality. Gin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Planning and Policy from the University of Southern Maine and earned a Professional Certificate in Visual Storytelling from Maine Media College in 2023. With seven seasons at the National Park Service and experience shooting for The New York Times and Down East Magazine, she now focuses on freelance projects in environmental, adventure, and portrait photography throughout coastal Maine.
